Data protection

Who is responsible for your data

Data is handled by the publisher of this site, a private individual acting in a non-professional capacity. The publisher's identity has been given to the host named in the legal notice (Article 6-III-2 of the French law on trust in the digital economy).

Data we collect

The pages on this site are static. There's no form, no member area and no advertising tracker. Traffic is measured in aggregate, without cookies (details under "Audience measurement" below). Simply reading the site, you give the publisher no data that could identify you.

Audience measurement

To know how many pages are read, which ones, and which sites send visitors here, the publisher uses its own visit counter, hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers service and D1 database). When a page opens, a short script sends just two pieces of information to the site itself, which passes them on to the counter: the address of the page viewed (without its parameters) and the name of the site you came from, if any. It sends nothing when the page is reloaded or reopened with the "back" button.

This counter sets no cookie, doesn't use browser storage and assigns no identifier. It can't recognize a visitor from one page or one visit to the next. It doesn't record your IP address or your browser's characteristics. It keeps only aggregate counts: a number of views per site, per day, per page and per referring site. Known bots are counted separately, under the name of their family only, and never mixed in with visits. These counts are kept for 25 months at most, then erased.

The script also counts clicks to the store linked from this site. When you follow one of these links, it sends the site, which relays them to the same counter, the address of the page where the link appeared, the type of link (link in the text, callout or button) and the name of the site you arrived from on that page, if any. Nothing else. Only a number of clicks per day, per page and per link format is kept, plus a total of clicks per day and per origin (search engine, assistant, social network, direct access). There's no cookie and no identifier, and the data is kept 25 months at most.

These figures serve only to measure this site's audience, solely on the publisher's behalf. They aren't cross-checked against other processing, used for advertising or sold. They can't be used to follow you across other sites. On these terms, audience measurement doesn't require your consent (Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL's recommendations on audience measurement). It rests on the publisher's legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit the site.

You can object at any time, with no impact on how the site reads, by turning off JavaScript or by blocking this site's address /pod2le/sq4mew5 in your content blocker. That's where the script sends its signal.

Connection logs

The host, Cloudflare, Inc., may keep connection logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent) for the security and smooth running of its service. That processing is the host's own. It follows its own privacy policy, which the publisher doesn't control.

Some connection data must be kept for a limited time under Article 6-II of the French law on trust in the digital economy, so that offenses can be investigated.

Cookies and trackers

This site sets no cookies, including for audience measurement. If a tracker were added later, it would be described here, and a consent mechanism would be put in place before any tracker that isn't strictly necessary is set.

After you click out

Some links lead to merchant sites. They carry no tracking identifier, and the product images shown here are served by this site itself. Elsewhere, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies.

Exercising your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port the data that concerns you. Because this site collects no data that identifies you, it holds nothing about you in principle. For any request, contact the host named in the legal notice, which will forward it to the publisher.

If you feel your rights haven't been respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL: <https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes>.

International transfers

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., whose servers may process data outside the European Union. The safeguards provided by the GDPR, including standard contractual clauses, govern these transfers.

The audience-measurement counts are stored in a database located in the European Union. Each signal may be briefly processed by Cloudflare, Inc. outside the Union, on the server closest to the visitor. Cloudflare adheres to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, supplemented by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
